Shawn Peter Raul Mendes, known as Shawn Mendes is a singer. He was born on August 8, 1998. He is son of Karen Mendes, Shawn has descendants of Portugal and began to sing on behalf of the school, a ttending festivals and receiving reply views from his friends, that made him feel good and encouraged to continue. Shawn did not grow up in a home with musical influences, having only one press singer in the family. His talent arose because he enjoyed watching covers on youtube and felt that he wanted to do the same. His biggest musical influence is the British singer Ed Sheeran. Shawn seeks to learn with his performances and one of his dreams is share the stage with him.

His debut album, Handwritten, released on April 14, 2015, arrived just in the first place on the Billboard 200, consecrating it as one of the youngest artists to achieve this feat.

He was the youngest solo artist to debut at number one on the Billboard Hot 100, with "Life Of The Party" in the 24th, he was 15 years old. The tickets of their concert at Madison Square Garden on September sold out in five minutes. Despite the clip of "Mercy", Shawn has already said that is afraid of places with deep waters. Despite this, he saved his sister when she fell in the pool and they were still kids.
